Runtime Release

The WEM Runtime is the environment that executes your applications and serves them to end users. It interprets the Portal Definitions created in the Modeler and turns them into live, responsive web applications. Runtime releases focus on platform stability, performance, security, and foundational features required by upcoming Modeler updates.

Release schedule

WEM releases a new Runtime every other month, always the month before the Modeler release. This ensures that the Runtime environment is fully prepared with all underlying capabilities needed for the next Modeler update.

Update process

Runtime updates are automatically performed by WEM on all shared cloud environments. For private cloud installations, Runtime updates are carried out by the project's technical partner, following the guidelines provided by WEM.
